Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad celebrated Swacchata Pakhwada during February 16-28, 2021 as part of the campaign initiated by Government of India. As part of the celebrations, NFC has taken up several activities for cleaning the surroundings of the Plants and also outside the NFC premises.
A tree plantation programme was carried out at DAE Colony in which large number of plants were planted by Senior Officers of NFC and also by the employees. Technical talk was arranged on ‘Sustainable Waste Management using Decentralized Biogas Plant’ and talk by representatives of voluntary organization ‘FenKomat’, who are working for zero waste management for the benefit of the employees.
Each Group of NFC Plants have taken up day-wise Swacchata activity and cleaned all the surroundings of each plant. NFC has also taken up a massive cleaning drive from NFC North Gate to ECIL in which large number of employees along with CISF personnel participated and removed waste / plastic material from the road side and made the area clean.
We are happy to inform that NFC has won 2nd Prize of Swacchata Award for the year 2020 initiated by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India amongst all the DAE Units in the country.
