NFC has a dedicated Human Resources Development section to impart various trainings to upgrade skills of the employees so that their competency increases and they effectively contribute to their field of work.
All categories of newly recruited NFC employees undergo Induction training to know the general activities of NFC & DAE, safety aspects, processes which are relevant to NFC, etc.
Regularly employees undergo training for skill development and improving the competency. The training programs help them in improving their technical knowledge and awareness in their respective areas of work & also other areas of work related to their plants. The importance and necessity of updating one’s skills and improving the competency of employees are essential to be in line with the organization's ISO policy i.e. improving the key performance indicators related to Production, Quality, Safety, Health and Environment targets. Hence, training lectures are also arranged for the employees to improve their knowledge on these topics. The faculty for these trainings are from within NFC & also sometimes eminent faculty from other DAE Units and reputed organization.
Some of the topics are customized depending upon the training needs of various plants of NFC.
NFC has Qualification Incentive Scheme (QIS). Employees are trained for written exams & interviews for the Qualification / Re-qualification of the scheme.
Training sessions are also conducted for the participants for presentations in the Quality Circles in the State & National Level programs of the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI).
NFC also arranges Familiarization programs for trainee officers of other DAE units and Awareness Programs are conducted for officials of Indian military, college students during their Industrial Visit to NFC, In-plant Training / Project work students, Apprentice Trainees and visitors from and other Institutions, etc.
